Congratulations to Ragnar on the job! There's nothing quite like the feeling of getting accepted for a new job. We missed you at Populace but completely understand about priorities.

As far as houses in that area, it would probably be best to post the question on the Elfsea list - a goodly number of Elfsea folk live in Arlington, and will probably know more about the housing situation.

Much of Populace had to do with Lughnasad (of course). You know most of the information about that from the emails that went out. We made a profit on the event of over $500. Other business:

We are hosting the Central Region brigade practice on 15 September - whether or not it will be at our usual fighter practice location Z Boaz Park, is in question, as the parking lot there is all dug up right now. Dunstan will check on it and let everyone know where we'll end up.

Loch Ruadh is in charge of care and feeding of the Elfsea Defender Stewards, so we need to do some planning (quickly) on what we are going to do. We have been promised the same camping location at Tanglewood Forest that we used at Springfaire. Polydore asked if anyone could go down early and hang out our banner so that people will know where to set up camp - don't think he got a volunteer yet.

We talked about the possibility of doing an event in March, the weekend prior to Gulf Wars. Polydore said he did not want to reserve the weekend on the Kingdom Calender unless the group wanted to commit to doing it, and asked for event bids from potential autocrats.

There was more, but I can't think of it right at the moment.
