The April 2002 issue of Computers In Libraries has an article on the
digitization of medieval manuscripts in Bulgaria.  There are a few color
photos of some of the manuscripts.  Here's the citation:

The article lists CD-ROMs created as part of the digitization project and
includes contact information for people who wish to assist in saving and
