[Loch-Ruadh] New Horsey

Greetings, all!

As some of you may know, Caddie, my QH mare suffered a foot injury at
the old barn and will be a few months recovering, so I have been looking
for an emergency backup horse to ride.

We found a Foxtrotter mare at the Cleburne sale Wednesday night. This
poor girl has obviously been through several sales in the last couple of
weeks. Her Coggins was drawn on 8/20 at a sale in Missouri, she's a bit
scratched up here and there and she ate like she was starving when we
got her home.

On the other hand, after a worrisome few moments loading in the trailer
and pawing (like a sledgehammer) before we were underway, she seems to
have quickly learned to trust us, she loves to be brushed and she
follows us everywhere around the barn. My lovely Lady Gabrielle (de
Luxton) and Greg at the barn rode her yesterday and report that she
rides great! I hope to find out for myself tonight.
