hehehe That might belong to Caddie, though they both have really kind
eyes.

Notice that they get longer, more complex and less like "real" names in
more recent years. You can also see a lot of name morphing like
Quarters...

This evening, Gabrielle and I were trying out many names, most of them
silly, and it became similar to knock-knock jokes. "What's your horse's
name?" "Cooties" "What's your horse's name?" "Mistress Kakahead" "What's
your horse's name?" "Tim Bucks Two", etc.

Some of the more sensible names were Cookie (she's sweet and brown),
Candie (sweet again, plus that was my recently departed kittie's name),
Clippy, short for Clip Clop, her cadence on concrete since she's shod
only on the front. A lady on the Ansteorra Equestrian list suggested
"Ribbons". She thought of it before even seeing the pictures. The first
name that popped into my head was Caldonia, from a B.B. King song, the
lyrics for which fit her:

Talkin' about my girl, she's got great big feet
Long, lean, and lanky, ain't had nothin' to eat
But she's my woman, and I love her just the same
I'm crazy 'bout that gal and Caldonia is her name
Caldonia! Caldonia! What makes your big head so hard?

I think my favorites so far though is a toss-up between Cookie and
Ribbons.

On the subject of horse names, with my new membership in AQHA, I
retrieved the entire 8 generation pedigree for Caddie. That's a family
tree of 510 horses. Besides her having a lot of famous blood, there are
some looloo names. One that comes to mind is Gossip Avenue. :)

Sluggy!
