No ~ nothing that exotic.
I'm just a lowly federal employee who happens to be
president of our union local and has to get "briefed"
on why it's a good idea to contract out our federal
functions.
This is, of course, after we've spent over two weeks
with equipment down because we contracted out it's
maintenance with a contractor who contracted it out
to another contractor and then THAT contractor got
bought out by another company who's really good at
giving a run-around.
When I suggested we call VISA (since that's how we
paid for the contract) and tell them we want our money
back for undeliverable goods, the procurement guys just
stared at me in wowed amazement. Sheesh! I can't believe
THEY didn't think of that! At least that got them jumping
toward the phones.
