I would like to thank Dana for forwarding all the questions and answers to
the Loch Ruadh list for all
of the people that do not subscribe to the Elfsea mailing list. We do
appreciate it.

Also, for her encouragement to all of us, to vote because our vote is
important. She admonishes us
to "read, read, read" I too feel that is a very important thing, but I would
add to it. Remember, this is
a political race with many candidates and the only difference I see between
this and a mundane race
is, thankfully, no mud slinging. Since we are an honorable society, we do
not have to contend with such tacky political actions. We have campaign
promises being made, plans and hopes being laid out and many lovely words
being spoken. This is as it should be. While we read these words to see
what is being said, we need to take note also of what is not being
said. Are these promises, hopes and plans something they have already been
working on in the past? Remember, you don't have to be a Baron on Baroness
to work toward change and improvement of the Barony. This is something
that they should have been doing in the past.

During this "hat race" month, I am sure we will have several visits to our
meetings in order for us to meet the candidates and exchange ideas with
them. This also is a good thing. I would ask you though, that when this
occurs, try to remember the last time you visited with this person at one
of our meetings. For some, it may be a "first". For others it may be one
of many.

To sum up my thoughts I would remind you that when you go to buy a suit or
a dress, you don't just look at it from the front; you use a mirror and
look at it from the back also. We need to make sure we are looking at the
candidates from all angles to be sure we are selecting the best Baron and
Baroness for the Barony of Elfsea.
