Well one of the reasons Connall and I did not make officers meeting last
night was due to us both having that upper resp. gunk that has been going
around. The other reason is I have been staying by the phone (since I could
not go in person and risk exposing anyone to this stuff) waiting on updates
on my grandfather.
My grandfather is soon to be 90 years young and this past sunday he passed
out; it was discovered at the hospital that he had 4 coronary arteries
blocked (2 at 90%, one at 98% and one at 100%). Needless to say we have been
on pins and needles waiting to see what was going to happen. The doctors
were hesitant to put a "man of his age" though the rigors of major surgery,
yet without it he had a death sentance. My Grandfather decided that "he came
to the hospital to get fixed, so fix it!". This morning he underwent bypass
surgery and at this time (just shortly after noon) he is resting, with
ventilator support which is normal after this type surgery, in ICU. The
doctors have been very impressed that a man of his age was able to undergo
such tedious surgery. He still isnt outta the woods but with this groups
thoughts and prayers I am sure he will make a full recovery!
Thanks folks.

A lady whos fortuniate to have so many surviving grandparents, and whos

thier lives.
