I found this recipe for an Imperial at http://www.barnonedrinks.com/recipes/cocktails/

1 1/2 oz. Dry Vermouth
1 1/2 oz. Gin
1/2 tsp. Maraschino Liqueur
Dash of Bitters

Sounds like a martini with marachino and bitters (yuck!)
