Ah, intent.... now there is a good point...

Dohmnall's "At the risk of making an on-line Ruadh noise, every little
bit helps" shows specific intent in making such a comment, whereas your
own "At my house, bubble wrap usually gets used as a toy" does not show
such intent. One might, however, wonder just what sort of toy could be
made from sheets of bumpy plastic.
