As bad ideas go, this was a really colossal one.  Give 'em an inch, they'll
take a country.  But even if the Maid of Norway had lived, Edward had it set
up so she would marry his son, rather than Isabella, so you still get the
same outcome as when James I & VI succeeded Elizabeth I.  What was it they
said about him?  The best Scottish king England ever had?
