The chronicler's sitting alone in the house
No creatures are stirring (except that damn mouse!)
The newsletter is sitting, half finished and sad
What other articles, recipes, pictures can be had?
It's only half done, please won't you hurry?
I'll put it together, just watch the flurry
Of pages and printing to be sent off to Sluggy
No matter the weather, be it rain, snow or muggy!
Please send me you stuff, we need it quite badly
If we don't get it , the newsletter, quite sadly
Will be only a shadow of it's former self
Sitting all thin and alone on the shelf
So hurry and dash away dash away all
Don't go to the store, don't go to the mall
Sit down at your keyboard and type away now
You've done it before, we know you know how
Please send all the goodies to the chronicler NOW!
Please get it to me, I really don't care HOW!
We need more stuff for the Xmas edition
Please send the new song in it's fine new rendition
I've got a few recipes, a story or two
A report and letter, a cover all new
I'll close with a plea and a short desperate call
I need your good input, where the heck are you all?
Send it or bring it or give it to me
We need a good newsletter, Oh don't you see?
I'll leave it at that, and wait by the phone
Sit by the computer, cold and alone
Waiting to hear, to see what you write
