jaggies (JAG eez)

noun

A far more descriptive word for aliasing.  The jaggies are the
stair-step effect that takes place when a computer tries to draw
circles and arcs.

     If you make the letter O too big, you'll notice little
     jaggies all around the edges.


Okay, so this doesn't have anything to do with the middle ages, but it's
cute.
