Hmm... I wondered if "louche" was related to "loose" as well; also, I
wondered if it is related to "luscious" via the Latin "luscus".  It may not
be such a bad pun after all; the etymology doesn't give enough information
in this case.  I'll look it up sometime when I have a spare moment (yeah,
right!).
