[Loch-Ruadh] Punkin Chunkin

Unfortunately for me I fell asleep *sniff* so I did not get to see it. But
I am sure they will show it again you know the Discovery channel. Thanks
for letting us know.

I did get a chuckle though, I had this mental picture of a group of you
standing around a catapult and then the herald coming forward and announcing
something like "After much thought, we consider this to be a catapult."

See. I need that sleep.

We decided to build a trebuchet instead and even had a lot of the materials
gathered up but we ran out of time and found it would be bugger to haul to
war and also would cost a bit more than we were planning. But some of the
guys did a lot of research on them and Bjorn really out did himself with
the plans and procurements. He was becoming a real expert on them and
their construction. Ours was going to be the kind that had a great big
weight (800lbs) that dropped. It was a lot of fun to think about. When I
watched the program tonight I saw there were 4 or 5 that were similar to
what we had in mind. The air cannons were impressive, I thought. Anyway
it was something different.
