Wooo Hooo indeed!!  The main thing Logan did was to talk with various neighbors asking for information, then when he had a likely suspect, he had to talk to the police for almost an hour to convince them to send someone out to investigate, pointing out to them that they had a limited window of opportunity!  When he mentioned the Domino's Pizza connection, they finally got interested.  I guess that's a lot sexier police work than just car burglaries.  

Logan was persistant, and was even in the apartment when the guy returned.  Logan suggested that one of the cops go around to the back door, and Logan kept the front door covered so that when the second cop tried to arrest the guy, and he tried to bolt out the back door, the first cop was able to apprehend him.   So I guess it pays to make yourself an irritation to the police in some circumstances, and for me, it paid to have odd taste in music.  :)
