I realize that this message will relate to a small segment of out Shire, but I hope all will bear with me for this message.

Due to some recent observations at our fighter practices, with the consent of our Knights Marshal there will be some changes made for our Youth Boffer and Youth Chivalric fighters.

I and the other marshals for the Youth Boffer and Chivalric Combat program will set aside 30 to 45 minutes at the regular fighter practice at Z. Boaz Park to work with our youth combatants depending on the number who are in attendance.

If the youth in question has not taken the pre-authorization class, they will not be allowed to fight with those who have taken the class. If you have a child who wishes to take the class, please let me know in advance and I will be willing to conduct the class. Currently from what I have been informed of by the Deputy Earl Marshal for Youth Boffer and Chivalric Combat I am the only person currently allowed to conduct the pre-authorization class within the Shire, however we do have other Marshals for the Youth Program who can conduct the practices. If you bring a child who is not yours, they will be allowed to sit in on the class, but they will NOT be allowed to participate until such time as their parent/s have also attended a class. Only those children who's parents are present will be allowed to participate in the actual practice

When the practice is over for the youth, all weapons and armor should be put up and secured so as to remove temptation to play with the weapons that they are learning to fight with.
