Milord David,

Duckie has asked me to pass on to you that he too was
marked from your fight, a nice red stripe and leather
scale imprint (complete with lacing hole imprint) on
the left side, ribs. He is just happy that he had a
helm on so that he didn't show evidence of you
"ringing his bell" a few times. Apparently you didnt
get the new fighter memo that states you aren't
supposed to hit back when someone attacks you? 

Duckie fondly remembers the waffle butt bruising he
got from Lord Conor the first time they practiced.
Thats when he learned that if you can't cover it with
armor you better learn to move it. 

I can tell you as an observer that every new fighter
walks away saying "Oh gawd, thats gonna leave a mark."
Bruises are the stick jock's badge of honor. You will
find yourself showing them off to mundanes as you tell
them of your fighting skills on the list, and while
they look at you as if you are insane. (Get used to
that look, it doesn't go away)
