Unto Akmed ibn-Mustafi,

As-Salam Alaykum!

First it must be discovered what his captors are demanding in ransom.
While Sean may be worth his weight in sheep, his flock in recent times
has, alas, become severely decimated. Perhaps a payment in a liquid known
amongst the Celts as "whiskey" (and to everyone else, what God invented to
keep the Celts from taking over the world) might be acceptable?

Better still, as my Celtic (and even some of my non-Celtic) brethren enjoy
a bit of exercise in these winter months, especially when it involves
sharpened steel, perhaps we could call upon these erstwhile captors and
make a reasoned, albeit passionate, argument for our brother's release.
Along with any spare valuables that might be laying around, just as an
afterthought, as it were.

Bid Lady Francesca to be of good cheer; her laird shall not long languish
in captivity, or I am a poor judge of Celts.

In the meantime, be welcome to our lands and our celebration; our
traditions hold that it is a sacred thing to offer hospitality to the
stranger.
