As Polydore's birthday has just passed, I propose that for a birthday
present, we spend this Saturday helping him get his house and yard
straightened out. Although he has to work Saturday, I have made
arrangements with him to get a set of key so we can get in. I plan to be
out there by 10:00am so that we can get finished and go home to clean up
before Bardic at Aingeal and Caerell's that evening.
I will provide hot dogs and buns, chips, and sodas for everyone who comes
to help out.
What needs to be done:
- Bagging and taking out all the trash (this is a major portion of the
work) - Putting things that are not trash where they need to go
- Cleaning the stove, countertops and sinks
- Cleaning the laundry room and bathrooms
- Vacuuming the carpets, mopping the linoleum
- Cleaning up the enclosed porch
- Mowing and trimming the lawns
- Trimming trees and bushes
- Chipping brush, tree limbs, etc (he now owns a chipper)
- Fixing or tearing down some fence
- Pulling some fence sections out of the now defunct pool
- Cleaning up the big patio area under the trees.
- Cleaning and straightening the shop (if there is time and enough people)
I know he'll probably just let it go to chaos again, but at least it will
be clean for a while.
