Daily Lesson 4
In contrast to NOT using "not" contractions, DO use "it" contractions,
dropping the "i" and joining the "t" to the following word:
"is't", "'tis", "'twas", "'twere", "'twould", "'twill"
"'Twas last e'en, as I recall."
"Is't dark, or doth the sun to shine?"
"If 'twere done, 'twere best done quickly."
Shakespearian Word/Phrase of the Day:
Grace for grace - to return a favor
"Gramercy, milady, for your kindness."
"Think naught upon it, milord; 'tis merely grace for grace."
