In defense of Bass Hall, I've been there a time or two and there really
are no bad seats, especially for music.

On the other hand, that quote is from a performance in 1969 and
according to http://www.1960sflashback.com/1969/Economy.asp a gallon of
regular was 35 cents in 1969.

not way out of line. 

Granted, that was $5.50 for front row seats then and $35.00 for balcony
seats now, and that 6.43 factor may not apply to everything. :)
