I dropped Polydore off at his house about 8:30, and was back home myself by 
9:15.  We broke camp last night due to the forecast of rain and cold 
weather, and spent the night about halfway between Jackson and Vicksburg, 
the first place we could find with a vacant motel room.  It was raining when 
we left this morning, and pretty much all the way home.

Great war!  Many stories to follow.
