I know a lot of our group don't care much for Singer but, if you would like
a testimonial on their behalf, I can accommodate. I have had a Singer (my
second one) for about 35 years. I have made boat covers out of heavy
water proof canvass down to lace wedding dresses and some baby clothes.
My mother has one that she made a living with and it is about 60 years
old. She has sewn furs, upholstery and all kinds of clothing and home
decor items and it still works great. I think the key to good service from
whatever machine you get is good maintenance.

Just my .02¢
