[Loch-Ruadh] Bordermarch Melees

  We made it back safe and sound. Melees was great, as always. The fever and
aches I have been fighting for over a week started to make a comeback
halfway through the fighting, so I had to quit early. But overall, it was a
great event. The weather was perfect. It wasn't really cold except in the
wee hours of the morning.
  Most of the fighters seemed to be from the Southern and Coastal regions.
Duckie and I (Fian Ruadh) fought with my Household and other members of the
Coastal Unit. We acquitted ourselves well, holding where we needed to hold
and even killing a couple of Knights in single combat when it all broke
down.
 The Hafla was really good. Every year they hold the Kingdom Middle Eastern
Dance Championship at Autumn Melees. We are the only Kingdom in the Knowne
World to hold such an event. The dancing and drumming are great. There was
an added bonus this year. Someone was playing what looked to be a sitar. The
sounds of that instrument and the drums really work magic to transport you
away to a different time and place.
 If you've never been to Autumn Melees, you really need to make plans for
next year.
