I hope that everyone who attended the brewing class on Saturday had as much
fun as I did. Many thanks to Elizabeth for letting us hold the class at her
house. The layout of her kitchen/dining/living room was perfect for that
kind of demonstration.

For those who were unable to attend, Dunstan took a lot of pictures (as I
forgot to get the video camera from my daughter) and as soon as he's had a
chance to sort them out and get them to me, I'll write up a narative to go
with them and post everything online so you can follow along with what we
did.

The handouts from the class are available at
http://www.geocities.com/padraig_ruad/BrewingGuild/. Of course, if you want
to do a taste test on the beers we sampled, you'll have to go to World
Market or someplace similar to get them.

The beer made during the class, a Maple Oatmeal Stout, is currently sitting
in my kitchen, but the fermentation doesn't seem to have started yet. I
will make a trip to The WInemaker Shop sometime today to pcik up some yeast
nutrient to try to get it jump-started. I'm hoping to have it ready to
drink by Warlord.

I've also decided that sometime within the next month, I am going to brew
another batch of the Honey Mild Ale that I took to Gulf War, as everyone who
has tried that one has enjoyed it. I'll let everyone know when I'm going to
brew it up.
