I just got off the phone with Cuan Rhuadh (Jesse) and although they're ok
and no noticeable damage to their house (they live in Hurst near Pipeline
and Precinct Line) they have a limb from a cottonwood tree in their backyard
laying on the sidewalk in front of their house. He was helping one of his
neighbors pull a big limb out of his neighbor's roof (damage to the roof)
and his neighbor had a lot of large limbs laying in his yard and a good part
of his fence is down. Jesse said he had heard they had around 90 mph
straight line winds their in Hurst for a little while last night. One of
the major intersections near his house has the traffic lights facing the
wrong direction now even though they are working. He heard that there are 9
schools in the HEB area that are without power.
He did say they were real lucky though. One of his neighbor's tree limbs
missed a corner of Jesse's house where his youngest daughter Katie's bedroom
is. He said if it had come over another 20 feet or so, it would have come
through Katie's bedroom window and onto her bed which is right next to the
window.

Thank goodness they're ok.
