Dallas Morning News this morning (June 15) has an
article on page 5H about an exhibit of Roman Art from
the Lourvre that will be on display at the Oklahoma
City Museum of Art from Thursday (June 19) to October
12th. The article says that the exhibit includes art
from the early first century B.C. to the sixth century
A.D. and includes "monumental sculptures, sarcophagi,
marble busts and reliefs, bronze and terra-cotta
statuettes and implements, jewelry, glass and metal
cups and vessels, mosaics, frescoes and more than 100
silver pieces from Pompeii."
Field trip, anyone?
