A sloper is a basic body pattern that can be used to make virtually any  
piece of garb for that person.  Only minor changes need to be made to make  it 
into anything from a cotehardie to an Elizabethan.  It is one of the  most useful 
patterns that you could possibly have.  Even if you gain or  lose weight, the 
sloper can be changed to accomodate this.  I would  recommend one for anyone.
