At Officers Meeting, it was proposed that we schedule a Gulf War land / gate working trip for Labor Day weekend, 5-7 September, to take advantage of the 3 day weekend without people having to use vacation time.  It was also proposed that if possible, a few folk could go a day or two earlier to prepare things, do some of the land work (mow, trim, etc), and pick up the scaffolding and materials needed to continue the work on the gate.  The work that was done at Gulf War this year greatly improved the appearance of the gate, and we need to add to that.

Marion and Gruffydd have volunteered to go early.  I think we need a minimum of four more people to follow on Friday night or Saturday morning at the latest.  The more, the better, as many hands make light work, and while obviously everyone can't be on the scaffolding at once, if we have enough people to swap out at regular intervals, we'll be able to get more done.

Let's finalize plans after Populace Meeting next Wednesday, 5 August.  I dislike asking people to give up a 3 day weekend with their families, but this is something that must be done so that we meet the requirements for keeping our Gulf War land, and we can't delay it any longer.
