Amber's dad passed away last night.  Her stepmother said he went peacefully in his sleep, after a quiet day yesterday.  He had been quite ill since suffering a stroke a couple of months ago, and never fully recovered from it.
 
We don't know the funeral arrangements yet - it was 4:00am in England when Amber stepmother called us - and we don't know yet whether we are going to be able to attend the funeral.  
 
If we do go, in my absence Lady Katheryn de Ryes (Kat) will be the acting Seneschal.  My other drop-dead deputy, HL Aingeal Mac an Ghabhann, will be at Pennsic.
