Subject: [Loch-Ruadh] Shire Banner, Shed, Etc.
Does anyone know where the Shire device banner is? I understand that it went
to Gulf War, but it doesn't appear to be in any of the tubs in the shed. Did
it get packed away with someone's personal gear, perhaps? Those of you who
went to Gulf War, please check to see if you may have it, and let me know if
you find it.
Many thanks to Floria and Thomas for helping with the loadout yesterday (and
they're not even going to 30th). Otherwise it would have been just Dana,
Aingeal and me.
The shed is in disarray, and needs some serious attention. The pavilion
poles need to be rebundled with shrink wrap, but not before we get all the
pavilions out and do another complete inventory and cross check on them -
I've been told that there are still some pole/canvas mismatch issues, and at
least some of the tops and sides could do with a cleaning. So we'll need to
schedule a day to get everything out, take it to a park or other open area,
and set everything out, if not actually setting all the pavilions up.
Also, the stove came back dirty and needs to be cleaned, and I suspect we
need to go through the rest of our equipment to make sure it is clean and in
good repair. Additionally, when we repaired the hole in the shed floor
several months back, those of us there discussed emptying out the shed and
painting the floor with deck paint or something similar to help prevent
future decay in the floor boards. If we coordinate things right, we can
probably accomplish all of this in one day.
We can discuss dates and times to take care of this during Officer's Meeting
next week.
