Subject: [Loch-Ruadh] A&S Night - May 19

Greetings Everyone!

Warlord, Queen’s Champion, and 30th Year.

All of these events are:
1)Happening soon, 2) mostly outdoor events, and 3) going to be Hot!

What you need is some “Hot Weather Survival Garb: Mediaeval Style”

Come for a night of fun, pattern making, garb making, and education.  Learn a few alternatives to the heavier garb styles most of us wear.  These “Hot weather Survival” outfits are often simple to sew and great for new comers or people who don't like being hot.  Most of the night will be devoted to making patterns or the actual garb choice you like of the options presented.

Bring paper for notes, an extra t-shirt for pattern drafting and fabric for creating things. Cottons, linen, and natural fiber blends are best.  There will be some pre-washed fabric on hand for purchase ($4-7 / yard).  Most of my fabric is in bright colors and are linen blends.

Dresses take about 4-7 yards, depending on style
Most shirts take 3-5 yards, depending on style.
Most pants 3-5 yards

When: Tuesday, May 19, 2009 – Elfsea’s A&S Night
Time: 7:00 pm start, those arriving later will be able to catch up quickly
Where: Mistress Hanna’s House
2800 Woodpath Lane Bedford, TX 76021
South of the intersection of Cheek-Sparger Rd. & Murphy Rd.

Email me with questions.
