[Loch-Ruadh] Armor

LARP warriors generally fight with what we Scadians would call boffer weapons,
and their armor reflects that.  Some armorers make armor for both LARP and SCA,
and lump it all under the description of LARP (under which, in very broad terms,
we fall, though the SCA doesn't consider itself a LARP group).

If you're looking at armor makers/sellers online, and the description is LARP,
it's best to check with the seller to find out if the armor will meet SCA combat
standards.  Many armor makers/sellers will have the disclaimer such as "SCA
legal" or "Meets SCA armor requirements" somewhere in their site or
advertisement.

Check the Society Marshal's Handbook at
http://www.sca.org/officers/marshal/docs/marshal_handbook.pdf , starting on page
10, for minimum armor requirements.

SCA armor is for SCA people, LARP armor is for LARP people...
