[Loch-Ruadh] Sad Tidding

Wow...

I'm shocked. Having trouble finding the right words here, or really any at all.

Bear was such a constant presence when I was active in Ansteorra, I'm having trouble imagining the SCA without him.

Bear was a shieldbrother, a captain, a teacher, and most importantly-- a friend. For many months, when House Broken Axe was regaining its footing, he spent considerable time and effort to always show at our practices. He was always willing to help with whatever was necessary.

I stood with Bear in a shield wall or behind one with him in it more times than I can remember. Our greatest recognition together on the battlefield came some ten years ago, when we were part of the Arthurian Company and the Company was awarded the Kings Battle Ribbon, signifying that we were the best of the best melee units in Ansteorra's army at Gulf Wars.

RIP Bear, I'll see you someday on Fiddler's Green. :(
