[Loch-Ruadh] Pictures from Library Demo

This was kindly provided by the base librarian, Patricia Tellman.  There were at least 30 children and adults present, and a fine time was had by all  After our presentation, the children were all given cardboard shields to create their own coat of arms on, and a foam sword to go with it.  There were a number of very good and well-thought out designs.  There was one little girl of about 10 who was very taken with the idea that she could participate in youth boffer fighting, so we made sure her dad got a flyer with Loch Ruadh's information.


Patricia told Alric and I that they would love to have a full-blown SCA demo later in the year, once the temperatures drop down enough for an outside venue.  I said that enytime after the temperatures have dropped below 80 degrees for the daily high, just give us a call.

All in all, I think it was very successful, and has definitely opened some doors for us to establish a relationship with the military community at the base.
