Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass... It's about learning how to dance in the rain.

I came up with a name suggestion that people seemed to like, so I thought
I'd throw it out on here.

Do go along with the celtic festival theme that we've always done,
Lughnasadh, I suggested Meán Fómhair. It is the September celebration, and
that actually works really well because the autumn equinox is on Tues, Sept
23rd, 2014. The event would fall on Sept 26, 2014.

Meán Fómhair [ˌmʲɑːn̪ˠ ˈfoːwəɾʲ] or (myawn FOE-wir)- the literal
translation is actually September, but it is the mid-harvest
celebration.Link to pronunciation:

I'm reading it as a time of celebration for the wealth of your harvest.
Here's an except from a 2011 celebration:

"The holiday of Autumn Equinox, *Harvest Home*, *Mabon*, the *Feast of the
Ingathering*, *Meán Fómhair* or *Alban Elfed*, is a ritual of thanksgiving
for the fruits of the earth and a recognition of the need to share them to
secure the blessings of the Goddess and the God during the winter months."

and

"The 'Second Harvest' is known by many names: Cornucopia, Wine Harvest,
Harvest Home, and the Feast of Avalon.

*Avalon, one of the many Celtic names for the Land of the Dead, literally
means the “land of apples*…*Celebrating new-made wine, harvesting apples
and vine products, and visiting burial cairns to place an apple upon them
were all ways in which the Celts honored this Sabbat.*

Edain McCoy, Celtic Myth & Magick

It’s a joyous celebration, but whereas the spring festivals celebrate birth
and fertility, at the time of the harvest, the Autumn Equinox or 'Mabon'
participants remember their ancestors." (Mabon a term coined in the 1970s)*

Sorry to ramble on, but just thought I throw it out there to see what you
guys thought. Love and miss you all.
