I have to have a new fuel module, which includes the fuel pump and fuel

filter and the quoted cost to me is $700+.  Now, this dummy service

writer stood by the door of our blue van today while I got in to leave,

so he should have noticed that we had 2 vans exactly alike except for

color and the TV & VCR in the blue one.  Of course he couldn't

have known that we had the same work done on the blue van not very long

ago at another dealership, for a price that was $300 <b>less</b>. 

But he knows now and I am taking out a copy of the bill tomorrow am for

him to see; then we will decide whether or not to talk to his boss. 

I guess he also didn't realize that I know all the GMC dealerships use

the same book to get their labor hours from for each job; which means

that the same job should cost the same no matter which dealership you are

at.  The parts with the same numbers should cost the same 

also.<br>

It comes down to the price being the same or I will have it towed to the

other dealership and still save a couple hundred even after paying for

towing.<br>

Ahhh, the joys of owning a vehicle!  Some times I think people that

take taxis and ride buses are the smart ones.<br>
