Let's kick this to Stargate, as well, and see if we can't increase our numbers.  No local events to compete against...

Have you contacted Modius about the already existing media materials (DVDs, pamphlets, signs, etc)?  And get this on the Kingdom demo list!  You never know what out-of-towners might show.  This is the Loch's best demo opportunity in some time.  With some selling, I bet we could get 100 SCAers there (unless everyone else is doing the same thing at their local theatres).

Hmmm - there's an empty field across from the theatre.  We could perhaps arrange a trebuchet, as well. (I seem to recall from the trailers that there are some in the movie.)

And of course, I'd bet a good number of us will proceed into the theatre to watch the movie, in garb.  Here's the website: http://www.kingdomofheavenmovie.com/

My Dearest Populace,  A wonderful demo opportunity is
coming our way. It will be to coincide with the opening of
The Kingdom of Heaven movie, at the Cinemark Theatre at
Nasa Rd. 1 and I 45 south in the Clear Lake area. It will
be from 2-5 PM, on Saturday, May 17. It will be outside on
the concrete area near the front side of the theatre. I
will need to have several fighters, both Chivalric and
Rapier (they are not concerned with being period to the
movie), bards, Middle Eastern dancers, musicians etc. They
will have a TV in the lobby with a DVD player to sell
ourselves and a table for phamplets etc.If we do a good
job, they will hopefully call us for other movies as well. 
If you can make a firm commitment to this cause, please
email me and let me know what you would like to do etc. to
help. I will be getting with the manager to work out the
details after I see how many people and what types to
things to expect to demo. We will be doing signage for the
lobby in advance, to advertise the movie, as well as us, to
generate an audience. (Alexis, please email me about this
aspect!  :)  )
