Greetings everyone!  Fride and I wanted to share the menu for our feast this Saturday at Loch Soilleir's Yule.  If you have not done so please send in your feast reservation.

Also, please remember that lunch for the day is a pot-luck sideboard.  Dessert for the evening comes from our annual dessert contest.  Please see the website for details.

First Course:

German broth – A soup of chicken and pork made with almond milk
Bread w/ honey butter and herbed cheese
Spiced nuts

Second Course:

Stuffed Onions – roasted onions stuffed with a ground pork mixture
Turnip Tartlets – small pastries of turnips and cheese
Creamed Spinach - a period version of a modern classic
Fygey – a pudding of figs and almonds

Third Course:

Hunter's Beef w/ red wine sauce – beef braised with a hearty red wine sauce
Chestnut stuffing – a simple chestnut stuffing
Diverse roasted root vegetables – a mixture of seasonal root vegetables
Boyled Sallet of Coleflowers – cauliflower with Yule spices and currants
