It's a lot more entertaining when someone is wearing the material when you
test it ;)

 
You can do a burn test of a few strands of the material.  Here is a good
chart to help.  If it's a cotton/linen blend I'm not sure that I could tell
the difference between that and 100% linen. Good luck and do the test over
a sink...smile.
