Along the coast of Ansteorra stand two great Baronies, Stargate and Loch Soilleir, side by side. These Baronies invite you to the Tourney of Squires, Cadets, and Arcarius on April 13-15th.
To compete, a person need not have a formal relation (be a Squire, Cadet, or Arcarius) with any Knight, Don/Dona, and Arc d’Or but only be authorized to do that marshal activity. The day is filled with these students competing with muscle (tourneys), mind (A&S), courtly grace (dancing) and cunning (a quest) to be named the Top Squire, Cadet or Arcarius of the day. With PRIZES and name boasting to those Knights, Dons/Donas, and Arc d Ors!

Activities of the Day:
Tournaments: The day will begin with tourneys for our Squires, Cadets, and Arcarius on the different fields. The winner of each field will be presented a scroll and the top fighters will receive points toward the winner of the Top Squire, Cadet, and Arcarius of the Day. 
A&S Competition: All Squires, Cadets, and Arcarius are highly encouraged to enter a static or bardic piece. The winner will be presented a scroll and to the top entries, points given toward the winner of the Top Squire, Cadet, and Arcarius of the Day. Just by entering, all will get points for the overall score.
Dance Competition: Everyone is welcome to participate in dancing with the Squires, Cadets, and Arcarius, who are highly encouraged to dance for points. Show your Knight, Don/Dona, or Arc d’Or that you have court grace. The first two dances will be simple, Penegay and Charlotte Branles, and need no pre-event training. The final dances, Hearts Ease and Picking of Sticks, will require some training and we are sending word out to all Kingdom local dance guilds to teach these dances at populace meetings, fighter practices, dance guild meetings, and events to assist you to get your grove on. The winner will be presented a scroll and to the top dancers, points given toward the winner of the Top Squire, Cadet, and Arcarius of the Day. Just by participating in the first to dances all will get a point per dance for the overall score. 
A Quest: All Squires, Cadets, and Arcarius will be tested in the Quest. How cunning are you? How brave? Do you have the metal of the bold or the brains of sheep? 
Note that your judges will be Their Royal Majesties and the Kingdom’s Knights, Dons/Donas, and the Arc d’Or joined by Laurels, Pelicans, Ladies of the Rose, and the Populace of Ansteorra. This is your time to shine as the brightest and best of your field!! 
Equestrian Activities
The Baronies of Loch and Stargate will also be holding their Equestrian Championships! Information on the day’s competitions will be posting here and to the Ansteorran Equestrian list very soon. HL Brenna MacDonald is your EQ coordinator for the event. 
Site Information:
Site opens on Friday, April 13th at 5:00 pm and closes at noon Sunday, April 14th. Site fee: $8; $5 (age 5-15); No charge under 5 yrs; $24 Family max. Feast: $7.00. Make checks payable to SCA Inc., Barony of Stargate. ACCEPS is now available. Non-members $5 additional surcharge. 

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They may also attend with a 21 year or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver form from the parents. The site is Equestrian-friendly, negative Coggins required. Site is wet in period containers. Site is very primitive with VERY limited water, it is recommended to bring extra water for personal use. 

NEW SITE!!!! The site for the April 13-15th event is Sir Alexis’ property 10 minutes north of Brenham (5401 Old Gay Hill Road, Brenham Texas 77833). The location is approximately 1.5 hours from Downtown Houston and 2 hours from Downtown Austin off of State Hwy 290. Google map at http://g.co/maps/uc7p9
