Howdy,

I am Leia Zarides.  (pronounced Lia)  I sing mezzo down to tenor, but usually whatever the person nearest my left ear is singing unless I know the song well.  I have formal training in flute, and can sight read music.  In fact, I usually require music to learn anything quickly.  I vastly prefer to sing with a group, which makes Bardic in the SCA not something that works for me.  When I first moved to Austin in 2002, I sang with a madrigal group.  We performed at Candlemas the following year, but the group went *poof* and I've not sung within the Society since.

I don't have a lot of time with single-parenting and grad school, but I will help as much as I can to get something off the ground and sustaining.
