I had a great time even though I got there late.
I keep track of dances taught/on ball lists etc, in an effort to determine just what is being danced & what is more or less common/popular. What I can remember is:
Chestnut
Trenchmore
Heart’s Ease
Amoroso
Ly Bens
Petit Vriens
And then in the evening:
Korobushka
Hole in the Wall
Gathering Peascods
Heralds in Love
So what did I miss?
Thanks
Estrill

"A Summer’s Dance" was a great event. We had music and dancing all afternoon and evening, with breaks between sets and time for dinner and court. That made for a good pace for both musicians and dancers. I hope the dancers had as much fun as the musicians did.
We had a great group of Musicians:
• Estrill Swet (percussion),
• Karl Thorgeirsson (drum),
• Alexandré Marcellus (tambourine),
• Llywelyn Gruffydd (viols da gamba, crumhorn),
• Ysabel de Picard (hammered dulcimer),
• Walter Robin (violin, cello, mandolins),
• Reis ap Tuder (mandolins),
• Toinette de Cambrai (flute),
• Emma de Fetherstan (recorders),
• Vigdis Gráfeldr (harp),
• Xene Theriane (harp, guitar, recorder)
We had enough players that nobody had to carry the melody all the time, which allowed us to change instruments frequently and have a different mix of sound for each dance. This made it fun to play, and hopefully more interesting to hear.
Thank you to the musicians, dance leaders, and Cantons for a wonderful day.

I don’t think there is anyone leading the dancers or musicians. Several teachers are doing dance classes. Bring all of your dance music and we’ll see what happens.
