[Namron] Beltane Thanks in particular

We want to thank Lady Rane for such a great job as Event Steward. She and
her crew of workers made everything easy for others. They added a lot of
personal touches that were wonderful.

The ladies of the Blue Dolphin Tavern did a wonderful job in giving us good
solid food at decent prices. The Unicorn's kissing booth helped put a
little money into the coffers. Thanks to everyone who "manned" it.

Between the two of them, they satisfied most of our needs. But thanks to
H.L. Barat, the brewing competition, and Lady Constance ... and all their
leftovers... the bards got satisfied too. And Lady Judith brought out some
leftover meat that was wolfed down in minutes.

As for the bardic, thanks to those who helped me set it up and tear it down.
Next year we need to remember to bring the water jugs for the bardic, as
well as the archery and thrown weapons field. And probably the game field
too.

Lady Constance and Bianca provided us with a variety of ARCHERY! throughout
the day, and Lord Magnus ran the knife and ax. I assume he or Grimmy did
the caber toss. I don't even have a clue who ran the Spang Hewing or the
maypole, but I know that Gavin ran an egg hunt that was well received.

Lady Kathleen, our Treasurer, ran the gate practically single handed.
Surely *someone* could have given an hour or two of their time to help her!
(frowny face... :( ... )

Thanks, Baroness Marguerite, for running the auction, and Master Lucais for
helping out with the speaking. We managed to clear out some things from the
shed and put money into the bank. Hooray!

Thanks to those who help unload and reload the shed, and to those who hauled
stuff to and fro. And to those who set it up and took it back down. I know
Tadhg was involved there, but thanks to anyone else who helped.

In case you haven't heard, we have two new Torsads in the barony, Kathleen
and William Pink. There is also a new "Jewish Mother"... *Sheik* Abdullah.
And two new Storms: Cadhla and Adena. Their Majesties also chose to
recognize Droen O'Rourke as a Lady of Ansteorra, as well as Flowena of
Gunnarstead, one of our hard-working merchants. And they gave that
loudmouthed skald, Svan Coldbrow Skaldsson, a Thistle in bardcraft, if you
can believe that! (Hi, Svan!)

Okay, we missed someone. We are sorry. There are just too many great people
in Namron!

All in all, it was a fabulous event. Let's do another.

Ulf and Maleah
Baron and Baroness
