I have spoken to Keri at Campfire & she asked me to post this:

The termination of Rick had NOTHING to do with the SCA or our events at Camp Cimmarron. There were other factors that are between Rick & Campfire Management. (It was NOT a personal vendetta). To the many people who have left messages, she will return them as soon as she is able.

Now for my own two cents:

This is none of our business, folks. He's been very nice to us at events, but I've known Keri for fifteen years, & if she says that there was reason, then I believe her. Our events are only a small part of the activities that occur at that site year round.

If you want to put in a good word for him, fine, but I really wouldn't advise going beyond the local level, particularly if the letters SCA are going to be mentioned.

Campfire doesn't have to lease the site to us, & if a bunch of belligerants start shaking trees at the corporate level, they might well decide that we are too much trouble to bother with. If that happens, an extremely large number of people - myself included - are going to be extremely unhappy. Cimmarron has been the unofficial "home" site of the North for too many years to count, & I am not inclined to risk that when it is obvious that we neither know nor are likely to find out the whole story.

Again, if you want to put in a good word for him, great, but keep it civil, keep it local - & keep the SCA out of it.
