Mr. Graves, I was given your name by Lori Campbell who is the "head" of the
SCA group in OKC known as The Barony of Wiesenfeuer. She tried to help me
with my situation, but was unable to do so. I am Liz Falkner and I am on
one of six teams working on living pictures or tableau vivants for my
church's Easter Pageant. My church is Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
We are recreating six famous paintings or sculptures. My team is working on
two paintings. The one I need your help with is The Resurrection by
Grunewald. I am concerned with the two soldiers laying down or kneeling in
the foreground. We are going to make their basic tunics or costumes, but I
need help with finding the chain mail head gear, shirt, helmets, arm and
hands pieces and the weapons. I was wondering if anyone in your group or
organization may be able to loan, rent or let us buy these items? I am at a
loss as to where to find them. The local costumes shops do not have
anything that is authentic enough. I don't know if the university or
college drama departments would have anything nor do I know who to contact.
I would appreciate any help or advise you can give me on this! Thanks so
much for your time, effort and help.
I have attached two pictures. If you can't open them or view them properly,
I got them from www.abcgallery.com/G/grunewald/grunewald.html.
Thanks again for anything you can offer. Liz
