[Namron] Brewing question

Greetngs, Lords and Ladies of Namron.

My name is Annalinda del Gyldenholt. I live in
Wiesenfeuer and I have an odd question.

How do you use a hydrometer?

I bought one two days ago and have no idea how to
use it. It's too late to get starting gravity for
my current batch of melomel as it was placed
yesterday into the secondary fermenter, but I
could use the hydrometer for the next batch of
mead.
