Since eveyone is making introductions I'll include my
personna's history as I've developed it so far...

keep in mind...this is a rough draft....I'm new and
have only been associated with the barony for about a
year...and a true member only since this summer...so
here goes.

Samarrah bint Annaan

Born in 1504 to a Byzantine mother, Annaan, who’s own
parents had narrowly escaped at the fall of
Constantinople by the hand of the Turks in 1453.
Samarrah’s mother, Annaan and her family had settled
in for a time in Portugal where she was given in
marriage to a prosperous textiles merchant, named
Georg Wetterford from Bohemia who was a follower of
the teachings of John Huss, (see Hussite.) The couple
traveled to Wetterford’s homeland to settle into a
quiet existence at the family chateau in Medlov and
prosper for a time selling fabrics and textiles
imported from the middle east and Asia.

While her father kept a strong hand in raising his
family to be good Hussites and patriotic Bohemians,
Samarrah’s mother, Annaan continued to teach her of
her Byzantine culture and arts. Samarrah grew to be
an energetic young woman who equally enjoyed a healthy
debate as well as frolic, dancing and games. Samarrah
loved to create things with her hands and could often
be found stitching or learning to weave while sitting
under a tree in the gardens and singing a happy tune.
Samarrah also inherited her father’s love of reading
and often availed herself to her father’s collection
of books.

Not much more is known about Samarrah’s mother and
father as they were taken by illness in 1514 leaving
her care to her paternal grandparents Linhart & Enlin
who lovingly raised her in her father’s faith until
the age of 16 when she ran away with the lethally
attractive warrior Raouda Bjorn Villhelmson.

Rouda Bjorn and Samarrah went on to have many
adventures and raise two children together, a son,
William, and a Daughter, Michaela, often called
“Heatherbear” for her love of flora and fauna.

God be with you in every pass. Jesus be with you on every hill. Spirit be with you in every stream, headland, ridge and law, each sea and land, each moor and meadow, lying down and rising up, in the trough of the waves or on the crest of the billow. Each step of the journey you go, go with God.
