May I have directions to the maysville pool?

Lord Pooky

>Greetings all!
>
>I hope that everyone had a good time at 25th last week. Sorry to have
>missed it.
>
>I want to remind everyone that Heather/Michaela has reserved the Maysville
>Pool for the evening of Tuesday, August 3rd, in order to present the Barony
>with a free pool party. She will be lifeguarding that evening and I
>believe festivities will begin at 7 p.m.
>
>Proper mundane swimwear is required (I merely point this out as a reminder
>to the North Ansteorran Swim Team as I have heard of their legendary events
>in times past...and lack of attire therof) You may also want to bring some
>lounge chairs. There are a few chairs and benches available in the pool
>area, but if we want to have a picnic outside the area you'll want chairs
>and such. Also, due to municipal and pool rules, no alcoholic beverages
>will be allowed.
>
>Here's what our family is providing:
>
>POOL With Lifeguard!
>Coolers of Tea and Lemonade
>Music
>Two long folding tables.
>etc...
>
>It might be nice to have some of the guys bring a couple of grills and we
>can all chip in and bring some brats, or dogs, or whatever and someone
>could sign up to bring chips, and someone to bring potato salad, and
>someone to bring plastic wear, etc.... This is your party, so you let us
>know what you want to bring. Also, it might be fun to have some games like
>badmiton or vollyball, etc...
>
>So, please respond to this posting with the following:
>
>Who you are and how many attending (ages help too)
>What you are bringing (food, utensils, activities, grill, etc...)
>What kind of music you want to listen to (so we can load our cd-wallets
>with good music)
>and...do you need directions to get there?
>
>Oh, and you may want to bring a supply of mosquito repellant.
>
>If you have any questions you can post here, or call me

>Work: 405-867-4748
>Cell: 405-249-3989/3990 (depends on which phone I'm carrying at the time.

>Thanks!

>I mentioned a few weeks ago that we were thinking of having a bonfire/revel

>I'm thinking, since August is so hot, we'll want something nearer to
>evening, and, again, bring your mosquito repellant. And we'll need to do
>this on a Saturday as the kids start school on the 17th and have football
>scrimmages every friday night.
>
>I'll need some idea of who wants to come so we can plan for refreshments.
>I'm not looking for presents, but if you feel you have to bring something,
>I'd love anything SCA related or just bring something to feed the hungry
>horde that night...lol.

>That's all I can think of...so, just let me know.

>Greetings,
>
>Owen and I would like to extend our personal thanks to those who stayed and
>helped pack the tavern up, and then convoyed home together to make sure the
>trailers were safe. It was almost 6 before everything was packed, and well
>after midnight when we got home. The temperature at 8 pm, driving through

>were working.
>
>Ace, we couldn't have done it without you. You loaned your trailer, helped
>set up and tear down, directed the packing of the trailers to come home,
>and played tail guard for the trip both down and back.
>
>Earl, a newcomer, not only worked, but loaned his truck to haul one of the
>big trailers and drove Tadhg's car and trailer and let Tadhg drive the
>truck.
>
>Kathryn atte Unicorn, Pookie, Ben, PJ, Donnchadh, Muriel, and Danny were
>all there until the bitter end. Tracy and Terry stayed until after 3, when
>they had to leave to go visit family. And, of course, our families and
>Tadhgs. I'm sure there were a couple of others who I can't think of at the
>moment, but this was the bulk of the work crew who tore down 4 carport
>pavilions, 4 GP mediums, a GP small, and helped pack and load not only the
>tents, but all of the cooking equipment.
>
>We will send out another thank you later listing those who helped with
>cooking and serving the food, after our brains start working again, and we
>get things unloaded to the point that we know where the list of helpers is
>located.
>
>Again, many thanks to our hard-working tear-down crew.
