[Namron] Skaargard pop meeting stuff

Since i have heard that we are just using the Namron list for posting Skaargard stuff, unless i missed something (am suffering from short-term SCA info loss!), I have information concerning doing a demo in Shawnee in September that needs to be voted on at our next Populace meeting on Sunday.  If you can say and want a say in this matter, or you wanna help if everyone wants to do it, please show up to said meeting or email me privately at westerdayaddams at yahoo.com - 

For anyone who does not know about this- Shawnee's Downtown Association (which basically plans events for the town including funding, prizes, and press) has given us the go-ahead to "ride their coattails" by putting on a demo at the time of one of their regularly scheduled events- the Jazz Festival on Saturday, September 18th.  For those of you who know the Shawnee area, this event takes place on Bell Street, which is about 2 blocks from Woodland park, where the demo would potentially take place.  The park is 13 acres, separated from Downtown by the municipal building and a small courthouse, and is easily accessed by walking from any of the surrounding streets or parking areas.  There is a swimming pool (which has been closed) in the middle of the park, but its restroom facilities remain open 24/7, we would probably just have to keep them clean and stocked for the day.  In the park, there is a half-circled stage with columns holding an awning above it for shade- a great place for
 dancers or performers!  I have spoken with the parks director for the city and he loves the Medieval Faire and thinks a demo here of a smaller scale would be a great idea.  Now, before i step on anyone's toes- this is not another MedFaire, merely a small demo in a park on a day when many people would be drawn to it because they will trickle over from the Downtown event.  Plus, the exec. director of the Downtown Association has said she will include the demo in all of her media spots and basically "sponsor" us.  In order for this to take place, I must contact her by the end of this month, and get the formal request for the use of the park in as soon as possible after contacting her.  The formal request would then be also a request for any potentially needed permits- if there are going to be merchants, particularly.  The only thing the city manager is picky about is food vendors, ie. we cannot sell food, but we can have food availiable in a hospitality tent etc.
